IT43 RadBS

Overview

IT43 RadBS is a 77 GHz automotive radar designed for blind spot monitoring in urban and highway traffic. With its corner-mounted configuration and wide field-of-view, it helps detect vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists, and scooter riders—especially during lane changes and parking maneuvers.

Challenge

Blind spot regions on vehicles create safety risks due to limited driver visibility, particularly in busy intersections and confined spaces. Standard sensors may fail under low-light or bad weather conditions, reducing their reliability and effectiveness in critical moments. Increasing safety regulations are also pushing for more advanced and consistent blind spot monitoring systems.

Solution

IT43 RadBS provides precision detection of moving objects in blind spot zones through high-frequency radar imaging. It alerts drivers in real time to potential hazards and supports compliance with evolving traffic safety regulations and programs such as Euro NCAP.

IT43 RadIC

 Overview

The IT43 RadIC is an intelligent in-cabin radar sensor developed by ITAS, designed for contactless, high-resolution detection of passengers and their vital signs. Operating in the 60–64 GHz ISM band, this compact unit is purpose-built for integration into modern vehicles via a standard 1×8 automotive connector, offering reliable performance in all driving conditions.

 Overview

IT86 RadLR is a high-resolution cascaded radar operating at 76 GHz, specifically designed for long-range automotive applications. Strategically mounted on the vehicle front or corners, it provides real-time and high-precision detection of pedestrians, cyclists, and surrounding vehicles—ensuring next-level perception in both urban and highway environments.

Challenge

Today’s driver assistance systems face increasing complexity. Varying weather conditions, low visibility, and dense traffic challenge traditional sensor technologies. Limited range, poor angular accuracy, and difficulty in tracking multiple moving targets often hinder critical safety functions.

Solution

IT86 RadLR employs a cascaded MIMO architecture with a synchronized multi-chip design, enabling enhanced angular resolution and long-range detection up to 350 meters. Integrated phase shifters support advanced beamforming across multiple transmit/receive channels. The radar enables vital ADAS functionalities such as:
