Zadar Labs develops high-performance radar sensors and perception technologies that enable intelligent systems to detect, locate and track objects by measuring distance, speed, direction and elevation. Unlike conventional radar, 4D imaging radar produces dense and detailed environmental data that supports reliable perception in complex and safety-critical applications.

zPRIME 3.0 — Ultra-Performance 4D Imaging Radar

zPRIME 3.0 is Zadar Labs’ third-generation flagship imaging radar, developed for applications requiring long detection range, fine angular resolution and dense 4D point-cloud data.

The system combines advanced radar hardware with Zadar Labs’ Software-Defined Imaging Radar technology, enabling developers to configure and optimise sensor performance according to the needs of each application.

Key capabilities include:

  • Truck detection at distances exceeding 1,000 metres

  • Passenger vehicle detection beyond 800 metres

  • Human detection beyond 250 metres

  • Angular accuracy of ±0.05 degrees

  • Static angular resolution as fine as 0.35° × 0.4°

  • Available fields of view of 120° × 24°, 120° × 50° and 120° × 90°

  • Dense 4D environmental perception, including range, velocity, azimuth and elevation

  • IP68 environmental protection

  • Operating temperature range from −40°C to +85°C

  • Compact dimensions of 140 × 103 × 36 mm

  • Integration with Zadar software, SDK and multi-radar sensing solutions

By combining long-range detection with high spatial resolution, zPRIME 3.0 can support applications where conventional radar lacks sufficient detail and where cameras or LiDAR may be affected by adverse environmental or lighting conditions.
